Our bikes brands……………..We at Mikes Bikes have carefully chosen our bike brands, we try to support British companies, and aim to be different from the “chain” stores. We have new bikes arriving on a regular basis.

The most famous bike badge in the world, established in 1887, this company has recently re-invented itself, supplying bespoke Road Bikes to its new professional team. Has won the Tour de France, and was the bike of choice for Laurent Fignon in the most exciting Tour ever!! Still privately owned and British. Born in the USA in 1978, DB is one of the original mountain bike pioneers along with Gary Fisher; they have a long history within BMX and Cross Country racing with the DBR team of the 80s. The current range of MTBs are designed in Nottingham, for the British climate. They are without doubt one of the most exciting BMX brand in the uk! Originally set up to manufacture bikes in the Far East, a couple of decades ago, this company has grown to become one of the biggest bike companies in the world. They build & supply bikes to a very large proportion of the “household” brands on the market. They are simply on of the biggest bike brands, you might not have heard of… They make every type of bike at all price points, and all to an exceptional quality. Sponsors of a major Mountain bike team, and the famous Merida events. They currentlt are home to the world mountain bike champion and the worlds lightest mountain bikes. Founded in 1987, Saracen was a market leader during the early 90s and in 2009 the brand was aquired by Madison, the UKs number one distributor to the independent bike retailer. Named after Ridley Scott (yes, that one!). This company specialise in Race bikes, have a Tour de France Team, and supply sprint bikes to Robbie McEwan. Their website is simply titled the “Fastest bike in the world”. Their bikes are stunning, of exceptional quality, and they take Mike to Spain/Belgium to test them….what’s not to like! Watch this space as they are about to launch UK specific Mountain Bikes, with input from Mikes Bikes (late autumn 2011) DawesAnother classic marquee, famed for their touring bikes, this long established firm is now owned by the Tandem Group (Falcon) bikes, and provides a “niche” alternative to the main brands. Their 20” Rocket is one of the best quality children’s bikes available, light simple and built with love by this Birmingham based company. We stock models we have tried/tested/seen.
