Kingussie High School, work placement, Ridley, Spain, Barracuda 24", kids road bike, Diamondback

This week Mike's Bikes has a guest celebrity blogger. Neil would really much rather be at Kingussie High School but his teachers are delighted to be relieved of him for a week whilst he learns that everything in life goes in cycles. As part of his work placement he has to evaluate his work experience and he has agreed to share this in the blogosphere...

    Hi !

On Monday, Stuart the Website Guy came in to teach us all about our webpage. We were told how to put in one word links (hence all the red underlined words), picture links and about our subscribers list which we didn't know existed so sorry if you had subscribed expecting to get e-mails whenever we updated our site.

Also this week, Mike is on a "business trip" to Ridley's testing facility in Spain to try out their new 2010 range of road bikes. Life's all right for some!

Closer to home, the shop has got some new arrivals. A 24" Barracuda kids racing bike and a couple of Diamondback trials bikes.

Made from Featherlite 6061 alloy with deep section rims and equiped with Shimano 12 speed gears. Ideal for 8,9 or 10 year olds who need a strong, fast bike that will make covering a big distance easier than on a heavy mountain bike. All this for £249.99!

Trials specific frame and forks compatible with up-grades, with bash guard and powerful  Tektro V-brakes. Perfect for those wanting to start out trials biking.

So far I've enjoyed my week (even though we were told not to because then you get an idea of what you don't want to do with your life). I've been doing all the important jobs such as making the coffees, posting letters and collecting the sandwiches. And, of course, blogging Wink

... when Stuart was at Mikes Bikes he introduced us to Google analytics which revealed that M-Trax 3.0 - First Ride has been the most viewed blog so far. Neil reckons that this one will top it - we'll see
