Summer arrived, Lands End to John O' Groats, Altura Night Vision, Wee Hoo..... Summer arrived, shortly followed by the hurricane season! At Mikes Bikes the wind marked the start of the "Land End - John O Groats" season, with a number of notable variations!!!!!!!!!!! Today (Wednesday) brought in a John O Groats to Lands end rider, he bought and Altura Night Vision Windroof jacket, having discovered that he will be cycling into the prevailing wind for 10 days!We also met with two Scottish parties "a Gretna Green to John O Groats party" and a "Mull of Kintyre to John O Groats" party, both required rebuilt back wheels and umpteen spokes, as well as directions to the Doo Below for beer! This summer has seen the unabated growth of the Road Club, with pelotons of 20 - 30 a regular occurence, changed days from when the death of road cycling was predicted. Weedoo, yes weedoo, thats the latest tag-a-long invention from California, with a fully reclining, yes reclining seat allowing children to relax and take in the view, or turn the pedals if boredom strikes.
